Both official and non-official ceremonies were held in Mexico today to pay homage to General Emiliano Zapata. Nine decades ago the revolutionary leader was killed while struggling for land and freedom. Yet for the great grandson of the peasant leader who once said "the land belongs to those who work it," Zapata's legacy has been forgotten when it comes to government agricultural policies. Farmworkers and other organizations protested neoliberal policies in marches and rallies today. Clayton Conn reports from Mexico City for teleSUR.
