The week’s show covers everything from fat or thin ferro rods through to hand made knives and surplus kit.

After an unexpected break the Sumo Survival brothers are back to answer more bushcraft and outdoors related questions from listeners.

The boys talk about teaching kids how to light fires and discuss what age you should start looking at teaching them the skills required and what the potential pitfalls can be. Sy admits to being a young firebug after being taught at far too young an age.

Sy shares news of a bargain winter jacket he bought through ebay recently. Regular listeners to the podcast will know that Sy does not need yet another jacket to add to his massive collection but this one is definitely a good bit of kit. The boys then go on to chat about their fond memories of Government surplus stores when they were kids and how surplus gear is a good way to set yourself up for outdoor adventures.

Sean lets us know of his initial impressions of the Jaguar Bushcraft Knife produced by Highlander. Sean was lent this knife by a friend who bought it as a step up from his trusty Mora and it looks like it has been well produced.

The brother discuss some review coming on to the Sumo Survival website and talk about the recent great videos from MCQ Bushcraft and Zed Outdoors featuring the work of Jacklore Knives.
