On Monday evening, the German city of Dresden bore witness to its largest anti-Islam demonstration to date. 18,000 people turned at the call of the Pegida coalition. Well-dressed and non-violent, they are keen to distance themselves from past far-right fringe groups. Pegida's marches have been met with large counter-demonstrations.
