Fresh pictures of Philae's historic comet landing

New high-resolution pictures have been released capturing the moment Philae made its historic landing on Comet 67P.

A narrow angle camera on the Rosetta satellite which dropped the probe towards the surface of the “ice mountain” caught the moment.

The images were shot over the half-hour or so around the first touchdown before Philae then bounced and stopped about a kilometre away.
