for the death from which you flee
belongs whatever is in the heavens
and whatever is on the earth
shows you the lightning
causing fear and hope
shaken with violent shaking
are zones of darkness
All praise is due to Allah
Allah, the Eternal, the One
we all seek refuge in Allah
Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful
the time of grace
opens its gates
wherein lasting blessing
shall be theirs
wash your faces
and your hands
ever gracious unto
you and us
