You look at me, and I find
That I have no desire to look back
You smile at me, and I find
That my stomach stand still
It does not lurch
You say my name, and I find
That my heart does not beat any faster than usual
When did that change?
It must have come upon my slowly, as if,
Hoping I wouldn't notice
But then, it seems, to have come upon my all at once
Overnight, as if, to get it all over with as quickly as possible
I now dig deep in my heart
Trying to find some trace of you
The same heart, you once filled
But now, I can find nothing of you
Nothing, but a few bitterly sweet memories
And yet, no one else in my heart
It is desolate and empty, with no feeling
When did that change?
