The sun did not shine today
But still I smiled.
Rain flooded the streets today
But I still smiled.
I did not go outside today
Not once have I left this place.
But still my smile remains
Dwelling upon my face.
I wore my Chuck E. Cheese grin
Very proudly today.
And there’s nothing in the world
That can make it go away.
My day will be lonely
Not accompanied by sorrow.
Because I’m still alive today
And I look forward to seeing tomorrow!
