If you could be a flower
Id hope you'd be a Rose
For if i could choose 1 flower
It would be you i chose
Id plant you in my garden
In a corner from harms way
Surrounded by dozens of other flowers
To protect you everyday
You'd be the most beautiful flower
That bloomed above the rest
The one i'd favour of them all
You'd simply be the best
Id care for you by day and night
And love you eternally
You'd always be the most special Rose
You'd mean the world to me
If one day i should awake
To find something was wrong
That mother nature had taken her course
And my beautiful Rose was gone
I would lay you in a box
Lined with the most beautiful satin of all
To match my perfect, most special Rose
That once stood strong and tall
The tears i'd shed would be happy ones
For the good times we once shared
And i'd hope and pray to the Lord above
That you knew just how much i cared
I'd love you till the end of time
And miss you oh so dear
But i'd know that though you're gone from sight
You'd always be right here
In my heart a special place
Where only you would be
And until the day my life did end
You'd be the only flower for me
