A contingent of 165 Cuban doctors left Havana for Sierra Leone to fight the ebola epidemic, which thus far has claimed 3,300 victims in West Africa. The International Rescue Committee, comprised 34 NGOs, reports that the number of cases is doubling every three weeks, and that the international community only has a month in which to prevent the crisis from spiraling out of control. teleSUR
