Venezuela goes hi-tech in fight against food traffickers

In a pilot program in the western state of Zulia, fingerprint readers are being used to detect shoppers who are amassing supplies of basic foods to sell on the black market or smuggle into Colombia. Since it began its crackdown on such practices, Venezuela has confiscated 439 million tons of food that were illegally bound for the Colombian market. TeleSur
