Annette recorded "Ain't No Sweet Man Worth the Salt of My Tears" in New York City in March of '28. The song was released on the Pathe Actuelle and Perfect labels. Annette is accompanied by Willard Robison and His Deep River orchestra. This is another Deep River recording in which Annette acted as the band's "girl singer". Annette enjoyed being a studio big band gal singer and never traveled with a band or performed before an audience with a band outside the recording confines of the recording studio.
