DOWN TO EARTH - South Africa's iron lady

She's been named Africa's CEO of the year and there's no sign she is going to stop there. This week we're Down to Earth with Daphne Mashile-Nkosi, the first woman to own a mine in South Africa.
A former political activist, Daphne Mashile-Nkosi has vowed to lead a new generation of mine owners with a conscience. Her first objective is to have an equal number of men and women employees at her manganese mine in the Northern Cape. At the same time, she's building social infrastructure for the surrounding community, which happens to be one of the poorest in South Africa despite the region's vast mineral wealth.
At 55 years old, Ms Mashile-Nkosi likes to cite an important difference between her slogan and that of the current US president. While Barack Obama said "Yes we can" she prefers to say "Yes we did".
