Solar Powered Automated Guided E-Lawn Mower (S.A.G.E Bot)
Our custom designed lawn mower supported two way communication with the user which could be initiated over a GSM network by sending a SMS. The SMS would need to contain the dimensions of the field to be mowed. The robot would then confirm back to the user if the given operation was completed successfully. The lawn mower was driven by high torque DC motors controlled by PWM. The robot housed a \textsc{Solar Panel} for recharging, 3 Ultrasonic sensors to detect either obstacles within a 30° view or to detect a lift of the robot 10cm off the ground. A LCD interface was mounted on the top to display the current operation, and a 1000rpm blade below the robot to chop the grass.
