00:35We're talking about our weight.

00:41You've never worked on screen before together.

00:44That's right, isn't it?

00:45That was by decision.

00:50We finally gave in to it.

00:52And then midway, George said, never again.

00:55I said, let's finish this one.

00:56Yeah.

00:57And then we finished it, and we won't do it again.

01:03But you have been friends for a long time.

01:06So what is one thing you learned about each other from working on this film?

01:10Very giving human being.

01:12Got to say, never met anybody who cared about other actors as much as George.

01:20He's smirking it.

01:21But he's very, very cool about...

01:24Was, we would do full scenes together, and he would just completely talk about my performance

01:30and what I would, mid-take, watch him and say, man, this guy is freaking good.

01:35And he never, ever can talk about how good he is.

01:40He's tremendous.

01:40Well, I would say, first of all, I want to, I would compliment him on his acting, because

01:46he's a really wonderful actor.

01:48Secondly, I would compliment him on who he is as a person, and how he and his family are.

01:55And when I say family, I don't even mean his daughters and his wife, who are his family,

01:59but he has a, he has a whole crew of people he works with, not just on our movie, but the

02:06films that you actually do, it's the same, you know, same crew, same people.

02:10He's very loyal, and it's exciting to be around people, because, you know, this is a very

02:15transactional business, and...

02:17You're the same.

02:18And it's important to stay loyal to those people, and so I was very happy to see all of that.

04:05I have to say it's near Henley, apparently.

04:20So the thing that most of our readers know about Reading is the Reading Music Festival.

04:28Have you ever come into contact with it?

04:29I have not been to the Reading Music Festival.

04:31Too much traffic?

04:32There's a lot of traffic getting over there.

04:33And also, you guys are driving around the wrong side of the road, which also makes it harder

04:39for me to travel.

04:41Especially when I'm drinking with all the whiskey.

04:45See, I told everyone at the office that I was going to try and convince you to get to Reading

04:49Music Festival one day.

04:50Right.

04:50Because it's like...

04:50It's like Glastonbury.

04:51It's probably the second biggest music festival in the UK.

04:55Who closed the show?

04:55Is it really that big?

04:56I think that, because it's twinned with Leeds Music Festival.

04:59And it's kind of a rite of passage for particularly our readers, after you've done your GCSEs in

05:05Year 11, when you're like 16, to go and have a blowout afterwards.

05:09And I just think it would be improved...

05:10Their experience would be improved so much if they just sort of, after a few beers, looked

05:14around at, oh, George Clooney's here.

05:15I think that would, in general, you know, a few beers though, you could put anybody there

05:19and they'll think it's me.

05:49Well, first of all, I make them call me George Clooney.

05:58And I'm like, honey, come on.

06:01I thought when you finally stopped doing it, it was really helpful in the scenes.

06:44When did you first listen to that album?

06:46I remember I was on tour.

06:48I was doing stand-up and that album just came out and I was in my car a lot and I listened

06:53to the track one and I was like, ooh, that was nasty.

06:57That was track two.

06:59It was like two for two.

07:00And then I just said, I guess this whole album is going to be great.

07:03Yeah.

07:04This whole album.

07:06I didn't do it.

07:12Have you ever met Courtney?

07:41And I went over there and Drew Barrymore was going out with the guitar player at the

07:45time.

07:46And I remember I was just sitting way in the back and all of a sudden the show was incredible

07:51and Drew came out.

07:52They introduced Drew and she came out and I was like, I know that girl.

07:55And it was a cool night.

07:57It was a really cool night.

07:58What about you, George?

07:59You got an album?

08:00Oh man, you know.

08:01I know you love Dinah Washington.

08:04I would say like there's tons of songs for swinging lovers.

08:06I mean, I could go really old school, but this is still old school, but I think kind

08:12of in the classic, there's not a bad track on it.

08:19And it was such a departure.

08:21And, you know, if you think about what those guys did from 64 to 69 and how music changed

08:29from the button up guys singing, you know, Rubber Soul.

08:34And then all of a sudden it's Sgt.

08:36Peppers and everything changed.

08:38Society changed.

08:39The way we dress changed.

08:40The way we thought about things changed.

08:41The way we thought about things changed.

08:42And the music changed.

08:43So, and when I listen to those songs, you know, my wife, it's funny because, you know,

08:47she knows all the Beatles songs, but a lot of times it'll be because somebody else sang

08:52them.

08:53And she'll be like, oh yeah, that's, and I go, no, no, no.
