00:06were on the back foot and we were just waiting for that moment I think that

00:11you know the record company were gonna say well that's it you know we spent

00:14enough on you I think possibly the reason why we went in to the studio so

00:19quickly to carry on with demo was probably just you know I don't know maybe

00:24come away with something but I think you know with the Astoria with what we did

00:28and the way we sort of trashed the gear I think we pretty much thought that that

00:31was going to be it for us we had done the session in House of the Woods which had

00:38no surface further no surface feel or feeling further away and small black

00:45flowers that grow in the sky so we had those demos done which are good demos

00:49yeah on the day that that session finished we've all packed the bags making

00:55Sean went back to Wales me and Richard drove back to London ready to go to a

00:58America the next day for that promo trip we drove to the embassy hotel which is

01:03the last place where obviously I saw Richie I remember driving into the

01:10underground car park of the embassy hotel and you know myself from which you were

01:15playing the demos and I said now what's your favorite and he was like the one

01:20song I really like out of all those it's small black flowers are growing the sky
