Special Mammoth Moment

The 501st Legion and the Rebel Legion invaded Star Wars night at the Colorado Mammoth lacrosse game at the Pepsi Center in Downtown Denver.

Besides creating the usual smiles, taking photos and geeking out, the troopers met a very special young girl.

She has a sensory perception disorder and had challenges with the troopers when they had their helmets, or their "buckets" on.

While we rarely take our buckets off in public, we made an exception for this young lady.

Once she could see that they were real people, she warmed up and fell in love with our troopers and Lord Vader.

We weren't sure if she was going to leave TK-52801 alone for the rest of the night.


This is why we troop.


This is also why we like to wear our buckets... so no one can see us crying.

It was an amazing night, one that will long remembered....
