Wancho tribal dance - Major attraction Ozele Festival

Ozele is one of the popular festivals of Wancho tribe inhabiting in Arunachal Pradesh. It falls after the sowing of millet in February-March and lasts for four days. The major attraction of this festival is the Wancho dance, which is performed around a bonfire.

Often described as the Indian Peninsula's Land of the rising sun, Arunachal is a very rich folk dance and music tradition. Among them is a special dance form of the Wancho tribe of this state mostly performed on the occasion of various festivals and ceremonies. This dance form is one of the famous and tremendous folk dances of Arunachal Pradesh.
