00:00So you've got to tell me the style inspo tonight because you look amazing.
00:03Thank you so much, Tetris. I feel like we're very coordinated right now.
00:06We did it.
00:07We have the same Pinterest board going.
00:09Thank you. We definitely did.
00:09What's it been like this journey that you've been on since being involved with Disney, Descendants, everything that you've been
00:14on?
00:14How has it been to arrive here at this moment?
00:16It honestly feels like I've lived nine lives in a weird way.
00:20So fast.
00:21Especially because I've grown up around the industry.
00:23Both of my parents are creatives and my dad's a songwriter and I was that studio kid laying on the
00:29couch.
00:29Like, when is it my turn to go record in the vocal booths?
00:32So now being at this moment in my life where I just signed a record deal with Republic, which I'm
00:38so excited about.
00:39But yeah, and the Disney stuff, I feel like I'm at that kind of transitional phase where I'm stepping into
00:45this next era of my womanhood.
00:48And I have a single coming out called Carrie Bradshaw.
00:51Okay. Oh, Carrie Bradshaw. What can you tease?
00:53Why are we talking about our girl Carrie?
00:55Because I'm the biggest Sex in the City fan.
00:58But also, I think the song to me really represents kind of like waving goodbye to your teen years and
01:04feeling the weight of becoming an adult.
01:06And, you know, with this album I'm working on, the whole kind of idea behind it is it's like my
01:12diary entry where I'm really being able to dig deep into my personal life.
01:16And things that I haven't talked about yet up until this point.
01:19And, you know, the messy parts of life, what I've gone through just this past year between the highs and
01:24lows of touring the world.
01:26And then also, like, friendship breakups and the messy boy drama and all those things.
01:32So getting to talk about that on this project has been so cathartic.
01:35Well, I feel like you just made me think about our girl Hannah as well, Miley Cyrus.
01:38Because she, you know, started with Disney and then now she's sitting here 20 years later being celebrated for the
01:43woman she's become.
01:44Do you see yourself in her in any way?
01:46Oh, my God, she's such an icon.
01:47And, yes, like, I'm so grateful to have so many Disney kind of blueprints to look up to.
01:53And I think Miley is one of those people who, you know, she's an artist first.
01:57And I think that shines through with everything she does.
01:59But the fact that she came from Disney and made that transition and has just done so much, it's so
02:05inspiring.
02:05And I plan to, you know, surprise people and continue to push the boundaries.
02:10And starting with this album, they're not ready.
02:12They're not ready.
02:13Well, congratulations on that.
02:14Now, the last artist on the carpet wanted to ask the next artist, who do you do this for?
02:20Such a good question.
02:21All my cuties, all my fans out there, any little girl who has a big dream, it's really, that's who
02:28I do it for.
02:30I've loved seeing strong female artists on screen, from the Rihannas to the Beyoncés and the Janets and the Britneys,
02:38like all these powerhouse performers who inspired me to do what I do.
02:43So I hope to do that for the next generation.
02:45Okay, and what's your question for the next artist?
02:49My question is, hmm, what's your why?
02:54What's your why?
02:55Okay, thank you so much.
02:56It's a deep one.
02:57I got you.
02:58Thank you so much.
