ITALIANO "Black Days, White Nights" è un inno alla bellezza, alla moda, all’arte e alla città di Roma, ma in particolar modo al contrasto. Esso simboleggia la leggerezza e l'oscurità, la speranza e la disperazione, la vita e la morte. La luce ha significato solo in relazione al buio. La speranza esiste solo quando la disperazione precede. La morte dà senso alla nostra vita. Noi stessi esistiamo solo in termini di questi conflitti, allo scontrarsi del bianco e del nero. La città di Roma, è sicuramente lo scenario più suggestivo e più metaforico per trattare il tema del contrasto. E’ una città testimone di contraddizioni centenarie, lì dove il cielo e l'inferno collassano e risorgono insieme, nello stesso momento. Il film "Black Days, White Nights" vuole risvegliare la consapevolezza relativa al fascino dei contrasti che ci circondano ogni giorno, ed ogni notte.
ENGLISH "Black Days, White Nights" is an anthem to beauty, fashion and arts, but most of all to contrast. It symbolizes lightness and darkness, hope and despair, life and death. Light only has a meaning in relation to darkness. Hope only exists when despair precedes. Death gives meaning to our lives. We only exist in terms of these conflicts, in the very moment when black and white clash. The city of Rome, headquarters of the Vatican and the Catholic Church, is definitely the most suggestive scenery for challenging contrasts. It is witness of contradictions of thousands of years, literally it's where heaven and hell collapse and rise at the same moment. The film "Black Days, White Nights" wants to awake awareness of the beauty of contrasts that surrounds us every day, and every night.
