00:00This is every single demon moon or Hashira that's died so far, and I'm going to recap how they died.

00:06Let's start with Season 1 Demon Moons.

00:08Rui is one of the first demon moons to have died in Season 1, and there's one fatal mistake that caused his demise.

00:14You see, Tanjiro and Nezuko were going up against him.

00:17They were giving it their all, and it seemed like they were going to beat Rui.

00:20Tanjiro leapt in for the final kill and sliced at Rui's throat.

00:23He was overjoyed to see Rui decapitated, but moments later he realized what had happened.

00:28Rui had cut off his own head in order to save himself from Tanjiro's sword.

00:32Completely out of energy, Tanjiro collapsed to the ground as Rui walked over after insta-healing himself.

00:37The demon moon conjured up one of his most powerful moves, murderous eyebasket, and unleashed it at Tanjiro.

00:43But out of nowhere, the water Hashira, Giyu, swooped in and destroyed the attack.

00:49Rui cursed at him and attacked Gaiyu with his most epic move, cutting thread rotation.

00:53But Gaiyu countered it with water-breathing 11th form.

00:56Dead calm.

00:58And moments later, Giyu killed Rui at supersonic speed.

01:02But Giyu was only able to kill Rui because the demon made one big mistake.

01:06See, Rui had a lot more power than he used in this fight.

01:09Muzan himself knew this, and always expected Rui to kill high-level Hashira.

01:14The only reason Rui died here is because of his special ability called Power Distribution.

01:19As you know, Rui shared his blood with several weaker demons and created a creepy spider family.

01:24But every time he shared his blood, he got weaker because that meant less of Muzan's blood was in his body.

01:29This is how Giyu was able to gain the upper hand.

01:31Now, Rui made a fatal mistake, but the way that these other four demon moons died is straight-up depressing.

01:37See, Muzan called a meeting for all the lower moons, and he was angry.

01:42The lower moons were just too weak, and they weren't killing enough Hashira.

01:45While Muzan was lecturing them, the demon moon, Kamanue, started complaining in his head.

01:50The only problem was that Muzan could read his mind.

01:53Angry at Kamanue's complaints, Muzan grabbed him and crushed him to death.

01:57But right after this, Muzan read the demon moon, Mukago's mind, and found out that she always ran away when Hashira were around.

02:04She begged for her life, but Muzan ate her with his weird tentacle thingy.

02:09And just when I thought all the killing was over, another terrified lower moon made a run for it.

02:14It looked like he was going to escape, but seconds later, I saw a blood splatter and the anime cut to Muzan holding that demon's head.

02:21Seeing all the other demon moons being brutally killed, Rokuro, the lower moon too, begged for his life.

02:27But Muzan had no intention of listening to him and finish the demon off.

02:31So far, Rui died because of a big mistake, and then the four other demons died because their boss was angry with them.

02:38The next demon died for the same reason.

02:40He got kicked out of the demon moons.

02:42He was too weak.

02:42You see, Kiyogai was originally demon moon number six, the lowest rank.

02:46But as time went by, he slowly stopped gaining strength from eating humans.

02:49Muzan noticed this and kicked him out of the group.

02:52Kiyogai was angry, but he knew there was one way to get back into the group.

02:56The only issue?

02:56It was nearly impossible to achieve.

02:59He had to find a special human called a Marichi, who had extremely rare blood.

03:02This blood would help Kiyogai become stronger and take back his role as lower moon six.

03:07Kiyogai finally managed to kidnap a Marichi and bring him back to his house.

03:10But just as the demon was about to devour the Marichi, our hero, Tanjiro, confronted and easily defeated Kiyogai.

03:17No wonder he lost his demon moon rank.

03:20Now, let's talk about Enmu, one of the strongest lower moons.

03:23He had an extremely strong demon art ability that allowed him to forcibly put anyone to sleep.

03:28And after putting the flame Hashiro and Tanjiro to sleep during a train ride,

03:32he began to use his other demon abilities to try and kill them.

03:35See, one of Enmu's abilities allowed him to manipulate the dreams of the people he put to sleep,

03:40cause nightmares and even death.

03:42Luckily, Tanjiro managed to escape the dream and attacked Enmu, who was on top of the train.

03:46Using his water breathing, Tanjiro jumped at Enmu, but there was one issue.

03:51Enmu forcibly made him fall asleep.

03:53Tanjiro quickly figured out how to break out of his sleep,

03:55but every time he broke out, Enmu would just make him fall asleep again.

03:58And after struggling for a bit, Tanjiro finally managed to cut off Enmu's head,

04:02but was surprised to find out it didn't do anything.

04:04Because while Tanjiro had been put to sleep earlier,

04:07Enmu had used a third demon art ability to fuse his body with the train they were on.

04:11Now, Tanjiro had to find where in the train Enmu's head was located,

04:15while also protecting the 200 sleeping passengers.

04:17He did just that, and they were able to kill Enmu before he could cause any further nightmares.

04:22But let's talk about the guy who's so ugly, he's definitely causing nightmares.

04:26The upper demon moon 6, Gutaro.

04:28He technically shares this rank with his demon sister, Daki, but he's the real strong one.

04:33During Gutaro and Gaki's fight with Tanjiro and Tengen, they were a real menace.

04:38Gutaro's poison was a deadly threat, while Daki's flying sashes were a constant harassment.

04:44Tengen lost his left hand and eye while Tanjiro was stabbed through the jaw.

04:48Luckily, Tengen discovered the secret to defeating the demon sibling.

04:52You see, the demon slayers had to cut through Gutaro and Daki's necks at the same time.

04:57I'm gonna be completely honest.

04:59Cutting through Daki's neck was way easier work,

05:02as the demon slayers did it multiple times throughout the fight.

05:04But every time they tried to cut off Gutaro's head, he would overpower them.

05:08And it took Tengen getting shanked in the rib and Tanjiro being stabbed through the face

05:13for the demon slayers to discover a secret weapon.

05:16Tanjiro developed a demon slayer mark, and the extra power allowed him to cut through Gutaro's neck.

05:21But I think the demon slayers messed up here,

05:23because they didn't take advantage of the Wisteria poison dart.

05:27These darts had a special ability of paralyzing demons,

05:30but Tanjiro only used them twice in the entire fight.

05:33If the demon slayer's swords had been coated in the poison,

05:36it would have had a higher chance of defeating Gutaro.

05:38But anyways, they had cut off Gutaro's head, so now they only had to cut off Daki's.

05:42And Zenitsu was trying to do just that.

05:45He was fighting for his life with Daki, and knew that he had to end this fight with her quickly.

05:49So he invented a whole new move in a split second.

05:52The first form of his thunder breathing, but this time at godlike speed.

05:56Daki taunted him because she just thought he was going to pull out the same move again.

05:59But seconds later, the sky flashed, and Zenitsu had his sword at her neck.

06:03And his sword was cutting through.

06:05Daki unleashed her flying sashes at him, and it seemed like Zenitsu was going to die here.

06:10But Inosuke sprang out of nowhere, and not only blocked the sashes,

06:13but also helped Zenitsu finish cutting her neck.

06:16And just like that, the upper moon ranked 6 was defeated.

06:19Now, so far in the anime, 9 demon moons have been killed,

06:22while only one Hashiro has died.

06:25Kyojiro Rengoku.

06:26And I'm mad that he died.

06:28See, right after working his butt off to save the civilians on the train,

06:32Rengoku had to fight again.

06:34But this time against the upper rank 3 demon moon, Akaza.

06:37As the fight progressed, something interesting started happening.

06:40Rengoku started losing more and more stamina,

06:42while Akaza seemed to be completely fine.

06:45As upper rank 3, he just had a lot more stamina than Rengoku.

06:48But don't get it wrong, Rengoku fought with an insane amount of power.

06:52So much power that Akaza kept on complimenting him.

06:54In fact, after being attacked with Rengoku's flaming tiger ability,

06:58Akaza told the Hashira that he should become a demon.

07:01Rengoku gave him a solid,

07:02No thanks.

07:04And said that he hates demons.

07:06The two clashed again, and when the dust settled,

07:08I saw that Akaza had his arm through Rengoku's chest.

07:11But Rengoku wasn't done just yet.

07:13He swung his blade into Akaza's neck,

07:15and little by little started slicing through.

07:17And to counter, Akaza swung a fist at the flame Hashira's face,

07:21but with his other hand, Rengoku blocked it.

07:23Meanwhile, Tanjiro and Onosuke realized that the flame Hashira needed help,

07:27so they ran towards the fight.

07:28But the demon, Akaza, saw that the sun was rising,

07:31so he tore himself off from Rengoku and ran into the forest.

07:35I'm not gonna lie, he ran from the fight.
