00:36Every other state either waives stamp duty or offers a discount depending on the property price.
00:41For a $700,000 established home in SA, a first home buyer would be taxed more than $32,000.
00:47But the state government has no intention of following the lead of other states in waiving or reducing that bill.

00:56The SA government says it does offer stamp duty relief on new builds, but cutting it on established dwellings doesn't

01:04Simply adding more demand to existing homes is an incredibly foolish thing to do. Other state governments shouldn't do it.

01:12Considering the recent changes to the federal budget, it is now time for the state government to review stamp duty
