Kara Tointon beats tonsillitis and dances

Strictly Come dancing star Kara Tointon has beat tonsillitis and danced the foxtrot on Saturday's show.

The ex- Eastender has reportedly been battling the infection for a week and has been too ill to rehearse with partner Artem Chigvintsev.

Initially, her absence at rehearsals sparked rumours that she was going to quit the show.

However, after seeing a dr and resting, Tointon was back in time for the Saturday recording.

The battle with illness is the latest problem for Kara, who took a tumble during a raunchy cha cha cha when she caught her heel in her dress.

Despite her bad luck, Kara remains one of the favourites to win this year's Strictly.
