00:00Well, the decision that we've made today to buy a multimillion pound set of new interceptor missiles from a British
00:07company helps give our armed forces additional capabilities to take down drones, missiles and other threats towards them.
00:15We've seen in the in the attacks that Iran have made on our bases and our allies in the Middle
00:21East that there's low cost drones coming at us and where we use expensive missiles to shoot them down.
00:27That means the economics that warfare is in the is in Iran's favor rather than ours.
00:33That's why we need to buy more low cost effectors, missiles that we can buy more cheaply and buy more
00:38of so we can defend our bases and our allies.
00:41And that's precisely an example of the increased defense investment that this government is making to buy more kit and
00:49equipment to our forces and to buy the kit and equipment that we need to deal with the threats we're
00:53facing today.
