DJ Fly Guy of HOT 107.9 Atlanta embarks on his first solo tour overseas as one of the youngest DJs to ever tour Japan. However, the apparent overnight success has been networking with connecs in Tokyo since his teenage years, building the foundation that would one day send the LA born/Atlanta raised 20-year-old soaring over the Pacific to the land of sushi, temples and hip hop.
The two week tour kicked off quickly with less than 3 hours between a late-night airport arrival the the dee-jay's first gig at Club Atlas in Shibuya. Packed with music heads and party people on a Monday night, the set was a great start to set the tone for the rest of the trip.
#JapanCREW members came out to support as everyone was finally introduced in person after years of exchanged tweets and line messages. Enjoying a second day sightseeing the city, @ILMPJapan CEO, @Taison_WM made sure to show Fly Guy some real Japanese culture. The two headed out to Tokyo's old downtown district of Asakusa to check out local temples and other cultural artifacts.
