There was a UN resolution clearly stipulating that the presidential elections could not take place in Côte-d'Ivoire until after the disarmament of the rebels was completed. That resolution specifically authorized the elections to be held only two months after the disarmament was completed. This measure was purposely put in place after years of negotiations by President Laurent Gbagbo, to protect the lives of the people of Côte-d'Ivoire. But Mr. Ban Ki-Moon along with Nicolas Sarkozy (former French President) forced President Laurent Gbagbo to hold elections prior to the disarmament, hence giving the leverage and every opportunity to the rebels to use their weapons, illegal forces and terror to impose their will to the people of Côte-d'Ivoire. As a consequence of the violation of that resolution, the rebels killed thousands of people after the elections, drove millions of Ivorian Citizens out their country and arrested countless numbers of people, including President Laurent Gbagbo and his wife and, threw them in jail, in clear violations of the norms of democracy and of the UN Charter on International Human Rights Laws. Mr. Ban Ki-Moon is therefore guilty of crimes against humanity in Côte-d'Ivoire and must be impeached and brought to justice at the International Criminal Court. To replace him at the helm of the UN, I am proposing President Laurent Gbagbo whose political career Ban Ki-Moon and Sarkozy tried to destroy AND to kill to replace him with someone else who will help steal the wealth of the country and use the strategic position of that country to exploit the neighboring countries of the Western part of Africa.
