How to Form an LLC in the State of New Jersey under the Section 42-2B-11 of the Uniform Limited Liability Act which allows any resident to engage in a domestic Limited Liability Company in order for business within the State.

Steps
1 Choose Your LLC Name. - You will first have to choose what your company name will be. It is good to keep in mind the nature of your business as well as branding when you do this. You can see if your name has been registered in the New Jersey LLC Search.
2 File Online. - New Jersey is one of the few states where you can form your LLC right on the Secretary of State's Website.
3 Fill in the Blanks. - Follow the questionnaire that will ask you different aspects about your LLC such as the members, registered agent, and much more. If this sounds unknown to you the advice of legal counsel is highly recommended.
Pay filing fee of $125.

4 Business Registration Application. - You will have to fill out a business registration application and have it sent with a check for $125.

5 Apply for an EIN Number. - If you plan on opening a bank account for your LLC, or you have more than 1 member, you will have to apply for an EIN Number. This will be your TAX ID for your LLC and will be used anytime you will be applying financial documents.
