In Algeria, memories of war refuse to go away

During the war in Algeria, the French courts sentenced 2,300 Algerians to death, 217 of whom were executed. Messaoud Lehouar was one of those convicted Algerian nationalists who survived. Fifty years on, he lives in poverty in the Algerian capital. But now an association is campaigning for the recognition of the rights of the former death row inmates who they say are being neglected by the Algerian government.
