In May 2009, NDA Architecture, a French-based architectural agency, wins the international competition to design Anhui’s new Broadcasting and TV Center, the highest TV tower ever designed by a French architect in China (260 meters high). NDA’s design concept is inspired by the ancient Chinese scroll paper that was critical in helping broadcast information. Located in the heart of Hefei’s new CBD, the TV Center is poised to become a cultural landmark for Hefei (Anhui province, Eastern China). The Center should open to the public in 2013.
