The Paris government has cut its growth forecast for next year from 2.0 percent to 1.75 percent.
It did however raised its estimate for this year.
Having previously thought GDP would increase by just 0.5 percent the government economists now see it edging up to 0.7 percent.
The national statistics agency INSEE has also revised its 2012 forecast upwards.
