BUZZ is set at The Los Angeles University’s progressive college online newspaper called “Buzz.” We roll with the young reporters as they chase down hot button issue stories and deal with their turbulent personal lives. SERENA, the brilliant young editor of BUZZ, has her world turned upside down when her father, the school’s head of journalism, hires Serena’s estranged mother, ALEXIS (Sharon Lawrence), to become the managing editor of Buzz. Alexis is a star TV journalist, who ten years ago chose career over family. Serena and Alexis butt heads as they struggle for control of Buzz and redefine a relationship, damaged by her mother's absence.
