Polls open in Iran election

Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamanei has voted in the country's parliamentary election.

Polling stations opened this morning with many voters reportedly threatening to stay away from the polls.

The two main opposition groups are not fielding candidates and their respective leaders are under house arrest.
