Monkees' heartthrob Davy Jones dies

Davy Jones the lead singer and teenage heartthrob with the 60's pop group, The Monkees has died after a heart attack at the age of 66.

Jones was the only British member of the four man band which, although manufactured for television, went on to release four number one albums,
notching up nine top 40 hits.
