During the same Christmas Break, I did shoot a lot of footage with my GoPro
But I also shot a few timelapses. We were lucky enough to be in remote locations in the South Island of New Zealand, so we had close to no light pollution [but the moon was almost full those nights, so it killed some of the stars]. We also did an overnight cuise on the Doubtful Sound, an even more remote location in the southwest of the South Island, the landscape was breathtaking and I tried more timelapse. Unfortunately, even if a boat is moored, it still moves with the currents and the winds, even if you can't notice. So it created that strange effect.
