She was the passenger in a minor automobile accident with major consequences. Instantly, her identity went from promising athlete, competitive baton twirler, peppy cheerleader...to paraplegic. Learning to get dressed, transferring to the toilet, driving with hand controls...well, those were the least of her worries. Coping with society, focusing on the positive, retaining a sense of humor...those were the real challenges! Determined to not let these new challenges keep her down, Jana continues to do the things she loves...such as water skiing, scuba diving and hang gliding!
