A French court will decide on Thursday on whether to open an inquiry into IMF chief Christine Lagarde, over concerns with her handling of a high-profile financial scandal involving disgraced tycoon Bernard Tapie. Lagarde intervened in 2007 in a long-running court dispute between Tapie and a major bank, by ordering a panel of judges to arbitrate in the case -- leading to a 2008 ruling that awarded Tapie 240 million euros in damages.
