My name is Alex. I am the manager at The Evolution Store, here in Soho, New York. We are something like a natural history museum that you can take home and start your own museum in your living room.
The store here was inspired by the owner's collection. He actually came from background in advertising and he was getting out of it because he felt that it was a thankless job he did not like it. But he was very interested in collecting this kind of material himself and at a certain point he realized that he
could start a business trying to sell the kind of material that he really loved.
This is a kind of business that, I guess, is not for everybody but its the kind of thing that does appeal to almost everybody. It is fascinating stuff and we get to see crazy new things all the time. You never know what is going to happen. I would like to say its not just a job, it's an adventure.
