Monkey Temple of Nepal - Great Attractions (Nepal)

Take a tour of Monkey Temple of Nepal in Nepal – part of the World’s Greatest Attractions travel video series by GeoBeats. The Swayambhunath stupa in Nepal is a remarkable place of both natural and man-made wonders. The temple is the crowning point on a high hill in the Kathmandu Valley. Constructed in roughly 5th or 6th century AD, it is often simply called the "Monkey Temple". This is because of the large number of monkeys living in and around the temple. Monkeys aside, the Buddhist sculpture and architecture here is outstanding in its age and elegance. The spire on the top of the stupa is adorned with four pairs of eyes.
