Must Be The Music winner Emma's Imagination hopes she will not just be a flash in the pan.
The 27-year-old singer-songwriter from Glasgow, whose real name is Emma Gillespie, became the first winner of the Sky 1 talent show, as she secured the public vote over fellow contestants Missing Andy and The Pictures, winning the £100,000 prize money.
"I've never had that much money in my life," Emma said and admitted she still has not fully realised what impact this win could have on her life: "It's not sunken in. So much has happened in such a short space of time.
"I'm really eager to just get into the studio and just get something out for the people who have been supporting me."
The show, fronted by judges Dizzee Rascal, Jamie Cullum and Sharleen Spiteri gave aspiring musicians the opportunity to perform their own songs in front of a TV audience, which differs from other talent shows like The X Factor. Their songs are also made available for download with all the profit going to the artist.
This way, Emma has already been able to scoop her first chart hit. Two of her songs have made it into the top ten, with her track Focus tipped to take over the top spot this weekend.
But the singer hopes it will not just end there: "I just want to be doing this for a long time. I want a sustainable career.
"I feel I have got a lot of songs and a lot of time to do it slowly and just build up foundations."
