Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti has told ITN he would like to manage the Italian national team in the future.
Launching the English version of his autobiography at Stamford Bridge, 'The Beautiful Games of an Ordinary Genius', the 51-year-old revealed he harbours ambitions to lead the Azzurri at the World Cup.
In 1994 he was assistant coach of Italy when they lost to Brazil in the final and having enjoyed that experience he says: "I want to try again.
"I want the same experience as a coach with the national team...I think the World Cup is the most important competition in the world. Maybe for this reason in the future I will do it."
He also spoke about life in England, saying as a proud Italian he still maintains his love of pasta, but that now he is also a fan of the English breakfast.
All the royalties from the sale of his book will go to the Fondazione Stefano Borgonovo, a charitable foundation set up for his former team-mate at Milan, who suffers from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
