Prince Charles visits Glastonbury

Prince Charles has given legendary music festival Glastonbury the royal seal of approval after appearing there.

The prince joined revellers such as Pixie Lott and Emma Watson at Worthy farm and met Blur guitarist Alex James as he toured the infamous Pyramid stage.

James, whose band Blur played a comeback gig at Glastonbury last year, said it was an honour to have royalty visit the area, known for its lush vegetation as well as hosting the world's top bands.

Organiser Michael Eavis said after 40 years of putting on the event that it "finally got the royal seal of approval."

Muse, Scissor Sisters and Stevie Wonder are among the main performers at this year's festival.
