Manning the Baton is a Documentary Short following Peter Manning and Musica Vitae on their tour of southern Sweden in February of 2010. Inspired by the films of the cinéma vérité movement such as Don't Look Back by D.A. Pennebaker, the film is an intimate portrayal of Sweden's premier chamber orchestra.
The film also features Lisa Larsson performing as the orchestra's soprano as they perform the challenging repetoire of Ingvar Lidholm, Allan Pettersson, Benjamin Britten's Les Illuminations, Gian Carlo Menotti and Josef Suk.
