Desi Junction- Chicago's leading South-Asian radio station hosted its 7th annual Summer Festival on Father’s day June, 15, 2008. at Bussie woods, Schaumburg. The event was bursting with crowd of South Asian descent. Seven years in a row , this organization of dedicated volunteers has proved its capability to promise and deliver a day packed with fun for South Asians living in and around Chicago Land. What followed was by far the most successful out door event that any Desi would have seen in USA. Curious people from all walks of life came in the record number to enjoy the Desi food, and unique games for every age group. This was one of the biggest gatherings of its own kind where people crossed boundaries of religion, race, states & nationalities and celebrated oneness under the untiring efforts of Desi Junction.
