Merde! is the feature length documentary chronicling the work of the Los Angeles based blue13 dance company, and its challenges to break through stereotypes, overcome growing pains, and survive in a city obsessed with the film industry. Merde! plays witness to the company’s rising fame, growing from a small, home-run Los Angeles dance company to establishing itself as a professional, touring ensemble on the road to national and international acclaim.
Merde! takes viewers through a dizzying display of wildly energetic dance scenes, live productions, both small and large, and personal stories of the dancers, from hilarious anecdotes to heartbreaking tragedy, all accompanied by a an original score by composer Tej Gill.
