01:28Halloween may be over, but the backlash for some celebrities is still fresh.
01:31That's because of some wild costume choices, starting with Martha Stewart, who dressed up
01:37as a homeless person.
01:39That did not go over well, especially the I am hungry, help me sign.
01:43Even worse, the controversial costume appeared to have been included in an Instagram carousel
01:48promoting her QVC candle line.
01:50Yikes.
01:52Stewart deleted the post after many slammed it as offensive, gross, and out of touch.
01:57Now she's walking back the costume, pivoting by telling fans she was trying to, quote,
02:01create awareness about homelessness, telling Page Six in a statement,
02:05I am distressed that my Halloween costume yesterday, which was intended to bring more
02:09awareness to the very serious subject of homelessness, has offended people, which was
02:14never my intention.
02:15Homelessness continues to remain one of America's greatest challenges and ongoing crises, something
02:20that I care deeply about, and I have spent a significant amount of time and effort supporting
02:24charities that combat this ongoing social epidemic.
02:27But then, after that statement was rejected by many online, Stewart went and posted another
02:32apology, writing,
02:34It's hard to admit when you've really screwed up.
02:36My earlier statement didn't go far enough.
02:39I know many people are suffering economically.
02:41Wearing a costume like I did was insensitive and not funny.
02:45I am very sorry.
02:47Martha, Martha, Martha.
02:48But Martha Stewart wasn't alone.
02:50Jessica Alba also had to delete her bloody-knee Nancy Kerrigan costume, with her friend Kelly
02:56Sawyer as Tonya Harding holding a baseball bat, factually incorrect for what it's worth.
03:01Many of Alba's followers criticized her choice, calling it immature and distasteful.

03:16dressed up as Kennedys and Secret Service on the day of JFK's assassination.
03:21She captioned the post, Happy Halloween. Love the Kennedys. That is also now deleted.
03:27But she's not the first to do it. Last year, Julia Fox caused a major firestorm after dressing
03:33up as a bloody version of that outfit for her Halloween costume.
03:36But unlike all of this year's deleted costumes, Julia's version still remains up on her page.
