00:01Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky urged Latin American leaders to help Ukraine repair
00:07its energy grid damaged in Russian attacks. Zelensky told leaders that every power plant
00:13in Ukraine had been damaged in one way or another and that the leaders could help by supplying the
00:17necessary equipment needed for the repairs. We urgently need equipment, more equipment,
00:24and we need transformators, power cables, modern electronic equipment, and different generators,
00:34both diesel and gas. And we know that companies in Spain, in Latin America, can help with this.
00:42Repeated Russian strikes on Ukraine's energy infrastructure have raised fears of another
00:47difficult winter ahead for Ukrainians. Ukraine on its end has also stepped up attacks on Russian
00:54energy infrastructure this year in an attempt to hit a key source of revenue for Moscow
00:58and weaken its ability to wage war. Zelensky's visit to Madrid comes amid U.S.-led efforts
01:05to revive peace negotiations between Kiev and Moscow,
01:08with trilateral talks set to resume next week in the United Arab Emirates.
