00:01And with that, ladies and gentlemen, the Daiso GDC in Malaysia is officially inaugurated.
00:07Congratulations once again.
00:09From the perspective of the Ministry of Transport, Daiso's decision to build its largest logistic hub in a company's history
00:16right here in Pulau Indah
00:18carries tremendous significance.
00:20It sends an unequivocal signal to the world that Malaysia is the regional supply chain and logistic hubs of choice.
00:30Daiso's operations will handle over 4,600 outbound containers annually,
00:36feeding supply chains across 27 countries and regions from Asia and the Middle East to Australia and the Americas.
00:44This scale underscores the immense strategic value of our maritime and overland transport infrastructure.
00:52Being situated immediately adjacent to the port clan, one of the world's top container transshipment ports,
00:58this facility exemplifies our national transport policy in action,
01:04such that connecting sea, road, and automated warehousing into seamless high-velocity freight ecosystem.
01:12Beyond moving containers, this global distribution centre enables high-value technology transfer.
01:20By integrating state-of-the-art warehouse automation and supply chain management practices,
01:26Daiso is helping to upskill our local workforce into world-class logistic engineers,
01:32system specialists, and global supply chain leaders.
01:35Therefore, the Ministry of Transport remains resiliently committed to supporting investment of this corridor.
01:44We continually streamlining port clearance procedures,
01:48expanding hinterland rail and road connections,
01:51and associating the digitalisation of trade documentation
01:54to keep Malaysia's transport network agile, efficient, and cost-competitive.
02:01Our ports are one of the most efficient in this part of the world,
02:05and port clang has already became the top 10 easiest port in the world,
02:11and we will continue to pursue excellence, to pursue good service,
02:20not only in terms of our operations,
02:23and ensure that our operators will become more efficient in turnaround time,
02:28but at the authority level,
02:31we are so striving to be more excellent and be more efficient,
02:35in particularly for ship clearance.
02:39That's why we have Malaysia Maritime Single Window.
02:42All port clearance are all done digitally right now.
02:45So we are moving into the second phase,
02:48where more clearance with multiple agencies can be done online,
02:52instead of paper clearance, which was in the past.
02:57So this will make our ports more efficient.
02:59And secondly, for DAISO, what we hope is that
03:03we will continue to invest here in Malaysia,
03:07and I'm sure this distribution centre will be fully occupied,
03:13and will reach full capacity in a very, very short time.
03:18So in maybe a few years' time,
03:21you will have to look at more expansion and more land
03:24to build more distribution centre,
03:27or a larger distribution centre.
03:28Let me assure you that our port ecosystem will continue to grow.
03:33You are at Port Clang,
03:36just a few minutes away from the ports.
03:40Our current two ports are, of course,
03:43handling a lot of cargos.
03:46West Port has 14 million capacity.
03:49Of course, North Port has about 5 to 6 million capacity.
03:53West Port is going for expansion.
03:55The capacity of West Port will be increased from 14 million to 28 million TUs annually.
04:03And at the same time, the government has also approved
04:05the third port in Port Clang in Pulau Keri.
04:12Of course, that will be a longer-term project.
04:15But what we want to impress upon you is that
04:19Port Clang will remain and continue to be Malaysia's most important gateway
04:25and the most important hub in South East Asia.
04:30So we will continue to expand our port.
04:33We can handle more capacity.
04:35We can handle more containers.
04:37And we hope that companies such as DAISO
04:40will continue to make Malaysia as your global hub.
04:44the other port.
04:45The current t-seam and the next level,
04:50the actual port is on top of the port.
04:50But all of the ports,
04:50The port is on top of the port.
04:50So we can handle more of the port.
04:50And we will continue to allow you to stay together.
04:50So we will continue to continue to be,
04:50we will start to leave.
04:51we'll continue to be a little bit more Chic,
04:53You
