00:00They needed a player like Soto.
00:01I don't want to say that they didn't.
00:03I also feel like what's similar here is they absolutely need an ace.
00:08What if there is a salary cap?
00:10Right.
00:10You're now going to add another, what we expect, very high salary player,
00:15whose agent is also Scott Boris, who is all about getting the bag for his player, as he should.
00:21Sure, Skubal's 30 years old, but the arm is what the arm is with him.
00:26What I think you're battling against more than the money, Wardy, here.
00:31This is the unknown.
00:31This is the thing we don't know.
00:33He's spent time already in the Dodgers organization.
00:36All accounts are that he likes it there.
00:38It is close to where he's from in Arizona.
00:41So in off days, he could take a short plane ride home.
00:44I wonder how the Mets are looking at the rest of the pitching market,
00:47and will they get to a point where they say, yo, we have to have him?
00:52Because if we're really serious about competing in 2027, you have to have him.
00:56Now, in my opinion, last thing I'm going to say here is, in my opinion, the Mets have to have
01:00him.
01:00I guess he's going to deliver a lot.
01:00I guess he's going to give him a little bit from the michele.
01:00I hope he keeps talking.
01:00So basically, why didn't I put him with his right hand?
01:00So he says, of course, I need stuff, but I take care of his however,
01:01because the この day and the time actually I'll put him here in the bag.
