quiet post on The Mermaid's Tear, and the whole house schedule is on the floor.
There is a strip of light under the back room door. It is in frame constantly — behind arguments, behind meals, behind people walking past without looking.
Early on the light is on late. He is awake after everyone, doing whatever needs doing. Later it goes out earlier than the rest of the house, which is how you know he has stopped waiting for anything.
Then there is the night it stays on. All night. Nobody in that family notices, and the show does not explain it.
That strip of light is the only clock in the series, and it is on the floor the entire time.
✨ What worked for me:
- The corridor is the same three metres in every shot
- Nobody ever turns that light on or off on camera
✨ Bottom line: some people's whole state of mind is visible in a two-inch gap.
