quiet post on Their Brother, the Dragon Sacrifice, and the thing I keep thinking about is laundry.

There is a washing line behind the house. It is in frame maybe six times. Every time there are garments on it, and every time they belong to someone else.

His clothes are not on that line. His are in a basket under the eaves, and he does them himself, at night, when the yard is empty. Nobody asks why. Nobody offers.

The line is not a symbol the show points at. It is just where the house puts what it considers its own.

✨ What worked for me:
- After he leaves, the line gets longer. Same house, fewer people.
- There is one shot of the basket, in episode four, where it is empty for the first time.

✨ Bottom line: look at the washing line and you know who belonged there.

Would you have noticed the basket?
