01:38The enemy has struck at the heart of our empire. A puny contingent of their soldiers has been captured here
01:50on Gilroll.
02:00This incursion was an act of desperation. The hairless apes now feel about knowing that they are beaten. They have
02:11failed their race utterly. There will be no interrogation. Do what you will with them. Disintegration.
02:32Silence. My brethren, they are not warriors, but maggots.
02:52Only one of them is why they have been treated as a warrior. The one they call Angel.
03:05Still defiant, Nanodoro. If we were to offer co-existence with your kind, would you not accept it?
03:17The Kilarati do not co-exist.
03:21No. And now that the tide has turned in this war, your defiance is a pathetic and useless gesture.
03:29You bore me, monsieur. Disintegrate me so I might join my comrades.
03:35Disintegration is not for you. Your feet will be different.
03:47The human cannot appreciate the honor that I am about to bestow her. She is not only a great warrior,
03:56but her lairnate is the heart of the tiger.
04:21May they rest in peace.
04:28Peace. Have we ever known anything like that, paladin?
04:34Not for a long time, laddie.
04:38First the tiger's claw, now this.
04:40Enough. You are not to blame for either.
04:43Some would disagree.
04:47This is Colonel Christopher Blair. Report to Admiral Talwin.
04:51The wreckage of the Concordia has been located on Vespis off the Mistral Coast.
05:13May they rest in peace.
05:20Peace. Have we ever known anything like that, paladin?
05:27Not for a long time, laddie.
05:30First the tiger's claw, now this.
05:33Enough. You are not to blame for either.
05:36Some would disagree.
05:40This is Colonel Christopher Blair. Report to Admiral Talwin.
05:44The wreckage of the Concordia has been located on Vespis off the Mistral Coast.
05:48Evaluation. Total loss.
05:56You can't live your life for the approval of one man.
06:03Anywhere from Angel?
06:07None.
06:10Is that the official line?
06:17I know how much she means to you, laddie.
06:46Excuse me, sir.
06:48Did you say the Victory?
06:50Is there something wrong with your hearing, Colonel?
06:55No, sir. It's just that I...
06:57The TCS Victory is a fine carrier with a long history of service to the Confederation.
07:03Yes, sir. A very long history, sir.
07:06Ship assignments aren't open to debate, Colonel.
07:09Of course I realize that the accommodations may not be what you're quite used to.
07:14No, sir. I didn't mean to suggest that the Victory will benefit greatly from having a wing commander of your
07:19stature and experience.
07:22Thank you, sir.
07:22But can't we at least discuss the...
07:25Now that we have the Kilrathi on the run in both the Gardel and Morpheus systems, I can afford to
07:30shift you to the Victory in Orsini.
07:37What I am trying to tell you, Colonel, is that things are looking up.
07:43The Confederation has been making some very positive strides.
07:48Dismissed.
07:49Dismissed.
07:52Sir. About my request.
07:57Yes.
07:59But it came as a bit of a surprise to me.
08:02As you know, Colonel Devereux's status is on a need-to-know basis.
08:09Your shuttle is waiting.
08:15Yes, sir.
08:33Despite recent losses in several densely populated sectors,
08:37Confederation spokespeople insist that humanity maintains the upper hand in its galactic struggle with the Karathi.
08:44However, our sources document a consistent underreporting of Karathi incursions, as well as civilian and industrial losses.
08:53There are even reports of Confed plans for a doomsday evacuation of Earth, replanting the seeds of humanity in a
09:00distant galaxy.
09:02The question is, who would go?
09:05Who would be left behind?
09:07And most importantly, who is making these decisions?
09:41And Minister Rowe took place to find right to find damasiness in a world where the mayor is known.
